How to Accept USDC on Shopify (No-Code Guide)
Add stablecoin checkout to your Shopify store in under 10 minutes. No code, no plugins to write, no crypto knowledge required.
Shopify doesn't support USDC out of the box. Its "crypto payments" option routes through Coinbase Commerce at 1% plus higher hidden costs. With Zateway, you get direct USDC to your own wallet at a flat 1% — no middleman holding your funds.
Step 1: Install the Zateway App
Head to the Shopify App Store and search "Zateway Crypto Payments." Click Install. Approve the permissions — Zateway only needs order write access to mark orders as paid.
Step 2: Connect Your Wallet
Paste in your USDC receiving wallet address. Zateway supports USDC on Polygon, Solana, Base, BSC, Arbitrum, and Optimism. Most Shopify merchants pick Polygon (widest wallet support) or Base (Coinbase-native USDC).
Step 3: Enable Crypto at Checkout
Go to Settings → Payments → Alternative Payment Methods. Toggle on "Zateway Crypto". That's it. Your checkout now shows a "Pay with Crypto" button alongside credit cards.
Step 4: Test the Flow
Place a test order on your store. Pick "Pay with Crypto" at checkout. You'll see a QR code and Zateway-hosted payment page. Pay with any wallet (Phantom, MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet). Once confirmed, Shopify marks the order as paid automatically — Zateway sends the webhook.
What You Save
Shopify Payments charges ~2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. Zateway charges 1% flat. On $50,000 monthly revenue, that's over $950/month saved — $11,400 per year. Plus: zero chargebacks, instant settlement, global customers without geographic blocks.
