What is Solana?
A high-performance blockchain with sub-second finality and near-zero fees.
Solana is a Layer 1 blockchain designed for high throughput, processing 65,000+ transactions per second with finality in ~400 milliseconds. Transaction fees average $0.0002, making it ideal for payment applications.
Solana for Payments
Solana's sub-second finality makes it the fastest chain for payment confirmations. Customers using Phantom, Solflare, or other Solana wallets can pay in USDT or USDC and the merchant receives funds almost instantly.
Solana vs Polygon for Payments
Solana is faster (~400ms vs ~2s) but Polygon has broader EVM tooling support. Both have near-zero fees. Zateway supports both chains, letting customers choose their preferred network.
